About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 years of PCU experience required License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: IV start experience Telemetry experience required Description: Weekdays and some weekends are required. Rotating holidays are part of the schedule. The candidate must be willing to float within units of the equivalent or lower level of acuity. Estimated patient ratios are 1:3. Skills required include IV start and telemetry experience. Previous experience working with Central line care/management and Heparin Protocols is essential. Experience in managing cardiac drips without titration is necessary. Candidates should be adept in the interpretation of dysrhythmias. Management of dysrhythmias and the administration of high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) is required. Experience in the care of patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, including renal, hepatology, cardiology, and pulmonology, is preferred. Candidates will handle special procedures such as cardiac drips and insulin drips. The facility specializes in adult cystic fibrosis patients. Knowledge of operating special equipment such as lift equipment, IV ultrasound machines, and bladder scanners is important. The job may require sharing with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Candidates must be cooperative with credentialing processes and comply with all regulatory requirements.
