Project Assistant, Class I

Project Assistant – Construction Trades Eastlake Middle School (AM) & NCI Willoughby – Welding (PM). 9 months/5 days per week/6.5 hours per day 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. (½ hour non‑working lunch) Hourly Rate of Pay: $18.23–$25.08 (follow 2026‑2027 salary schedule). Duties Assist the vocational teacher with the responsibilities and duties of his/her assignment and aid in enhancing individual instruction and academics, per the needs of the students. Minimum Qualifications Knowledge, Abilities and Skills – Ability to follow instructions; work with students, staff, and the public individually and in group situations; improvise in difficult or unusual situations; maintain class order during the teacher’s absence. Good verbal and written skills desired. Characteristics/Traits – Maintain a neat, well‑groomed appearance; self‑motivated, punctual, dependable, reliable, task‑oriented; use discretion and good judgment; good physical and mental health; good moral character. Education/Training – High School diploma or equivalent is required; preference for higher education course credits or job‑related training. Ohio Department of Education requires a one‑year Educational Aide permit. State of Ohio requirement – Hold an Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Have completed at least 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours at an accredited college or university.
