Manufacturing Quality Supervisor

North Tulsa Location

Manufacturing Quality Supervisor Pay and Hours:
$35/ hr
Monday - Thursday, 5 am-3:30 pm

Manufacturing Quality Supervisor Purpose:
Directs the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and may control capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Ensures quality standards are consistently maintained throughout the production process and addresses quality issues as they arise.

Manufacturing Quality Supervisor Characteristics/Scope:
As a level in the Management Track, work is primarily accomplished through setting direction, deploying resources, and managing others.

• Provides immediate supervision to a team/group of two or more semi-skilled or paraprofessional contributors.
• Assigns tasks, checks work at frequent intervals, and maintains schedules.
• Monitors work to ensure production and quality standards are being met.
• Requires full knowledge of own functional responsibility.
• Directs junior employees to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies.
• Focuses on mentoring, coaching, and coordination.
• Provides coaching and direction to employees regarding quality expectations and procedures.
• Monitors daily departmental operations. Some time is normally spent performing work related to the department.
• Works on issues of limited scope, following established practices and procedures.
• Receives predetermined work assignments that are subject to a moderate level of control and review.
• Incorrect decisions or failure to achieve results may cause delays in work plans.

Manufacturing Quality Supervisor Basic Requirements:
(Minimum Experience)

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of production/manufacturing experience
  OR a Master’s degree and at least 1 year of production/manufacturing experience OR at least 5 years of production/manufacturing experience
• Previous quality experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Candidates must have experience working with quality standards, identifying quality issues, and helping to ensure corrective actions are taken when needed.
