Contract Legal Secretary / Paralegal

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Legal Secretary / Paralegal to provide clerical and administrative support to our legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong typing and organizational skills who is interested in working in a supportive legal office environment. Training and guidance will be provided. Responsibilities Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal letters, documents, and correspondence Type and transcribe documents accurately using both a computer and a typewriter Maintain and organize legal files and records Handle incoming phone calls, emails, and general office communications Assist with scheduling, document preparation, and other administrative tasks as needed Support attorneys and staff with daily office operations Qualifications Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, Paralegal, Secretary, or Office Support Professional preferred Strong typing skills required (50+ WPM preferred) Must be comfortable using and operating a typewriter Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel Professional communication skills and a positive attitude Willingness to learn legal office procedures and terminology Position Details Contract position Supportive and team-oriented work environment Training provided for the right candidate Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $57,400 - $62,400 Annual Bonus/Commission: Yes
