Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to formulate individualized treatment plans that reflect each client’s unique needs.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions with creativity, drawing upon methodologies like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, tailored to suit diverse cultural contexts.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role emphasizes working with a broad and diverse patient population. You will engage with individuals from ethnic and cultural minority backgrounds, including but not limited to the LGBTQ+ community and various immigrant populations. Each therapeutic relationship you build will hinge on your ability to navigate cultural nuances and adapt treatment modalities that resonate with your clients’ lived experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Kansas.

• A solid foundation in different mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and a demonstrated commitment to cultural competence in therapy.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, which allow you to form strong rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth technology to optimize the therapeutic process.

• A dedication to maintaining ethical standards, confidentiality, and professional boundaries.
