Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their mental, emotional, and behavioral histories to inform treatment.

• Evaluate clients' distinct mental health needs, including presenting concerns and potential treatment goals, establishing a foundation for ongoing support.
\n
• Develop and implement tailored intervention plans for individuals, couples, families, and diverse groups that align with best practices in mental health care.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities that best suit clients’ needs.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout treatment, adjusting strategies as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, nurses, and social workers to create holistic intervention plans.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and primary care physicians when clients require hospitalization or additional medical support.

• Identify and mitigate behaviors that hinder recovery, equipping clients with coping strategies and resources.

• Support families and caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, fostering an inclusive approach to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counseling services cater to a broad spectrum of client demographics, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. By integrating cultural competence into our practices, we strive to provide personalized care that respects the unique backgrounds and experiences of each individual.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current, valid licensure in Arizona as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• Successful completion of the National Counseling Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor, with a strong track record of client success.
\n
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly the AVATAR platform.
\n
• Knowledgeable in dealing with co-occurring disorders and the underlying physical and emotional health issues that affect mental wellness.

• Familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients and health professionals.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to client care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a telehealth or remote counseling environment, demonstrating adaptability to virtual therapeutic sessions.

• A background in treating addiction disorders and a comprehensive understanding of mental health medication prescriptions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
