About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director - Head of Mergers and Acquisitions to lead and oversee its M&A advisory practice. This senior leadership role is pivotal in driving all aspects of deal origination, client coverage, and transaction execution. The successful candidate will be a proven M&A dealmaker with a strong background in advising clients on complex buy-side and sell-side transactions, possessing deep client relationships, and a demonstrated ability to build and scale a high-performing team. Key responsibilities include setting the strategic direction for the practice, ensuring best-in-class execution, and consistent revenue growth. The role also involves leadership and practice management, client relationship management, transaction execution, market analysis, and strategic direction, as well as owning the P&L for the M&A practice. Applicants for the Managing Director - Head of Mergers and Acquisitions position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, with an MBA or advanced degree preferred. A minimum of 12-20 years' of investment banking or M&A advisory experience is required, with a focus on leading complex transactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sourcing deals, managing senior-level client relationships, and negotiating major transactions, as well as strong leadership experience. Skills in strategic thinking, commercial judgment, valuation techniques, negotiation strategies, and transaction structuring are essential, along with outstanding communication, presentation, and client-facing skills. The role demands a high level of integrity, professionalism, and leadership presence, and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
