Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using evidence-based practices to identify mental health needs, develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique situation, and monitor their progress through ongoing evaluations.

• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), to guide clients toward understanding and managing their mental health challenges, fostering resilience and empowerment.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards, ensuring quality assurance and accountability throughout the care process.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide integrated care, discussing client cases, sharing insights, and utilizing a team-based approach to enhance treatment effectiveness.

• Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings, staying informed on best practices and recent developments in the mental health field to continually refine your therapeutic skills.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to foster sustained wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a mental health therapist at our community health clinic, you will primarily work with individuals and families facing a wide range of mental health conditions, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related conditions, and relationship issues. Your role will involve understanding the unique cultural, social, and economic factors that may affect each client's mental health, thereby providing them with tailored support that resonates with their lived experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New Jersey.
