While most work will be conducted virtually, our outpatient office in Aurora remains a resource for in-person interactions and team engagements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, families, and groups, drawing from various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and client-centered approaches.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, employing de-escalation techniques and active listening skills to stabilize situations.

• Actively collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, enhancing client care through regular communication and coordinated case management.

• Engage in community outreach and education initiatives aimed at raising awareness and understanding of mental health issues, thereby reducing stigma in our local community.

The clients served by Balance Bliss Counseling Center represent a broad spectrum of backgrounds and mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Qualifications\n

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated by your ability to establish rapport and effectively engage clients in the therapeutic process.

• Proven cultural competence and sensitivity, enabling effective work with clients from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and client progress.
