Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to evaluate clients' emotional and behavioral issues, defining the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that align with each client's unique goals and preferences, incorporating therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based approaches.
• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans based on documented observations and feedback.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated care approach.
• Stay informed about current trends, research, and clinical practices in the treatment of mood disorders and family therapy.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous professional development opportunities.
• Advocate for clients by addressing mental health stigmatization and representing their needs within the broader health community.

Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
