Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of symptoms related to mood disorders.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote effective coping strategies.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment methods, and self-care practices to empower their recovery journey.
• Continuously track and assess client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on evolving needs.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care, ensuring comprehensive support for clients.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic interventions.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs against societal stigmatization, ensuring they receive appropriate care and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on helping individuals struggling with mood disorders, including depression, anxiety, and other related emotional issues. You will work with a diverse range of clients, ranging from adolescents to adults, each presenting unique challenges and backgrounds. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping them develop effective coping strategies and promoting overall mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in Florida.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or an equivalent field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients’ experiences and struggles.
• Proficient organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a caseload and administrative duties.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a clinical setting working with a varied clientele dealing with mood disorders.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy services.
