Radiology - CT Tech

CT Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Friday - Sunday, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM EST. On-call shifts may be required, averaging 2-3 call shifts per month, including holidays based on unit needs.

The CT Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services while ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role requires coordination with physicians to conduct scans and maintaining accurate patient records within the EPIC system.

Confirm patient identity and verify examinations prior to scans.

Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to alleviate concerns.

Insert IVs when necessary and position patients for scans.

Document all necessary components in EPIC, ensuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly.

Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility in accordance with department policies.

Current NYS licensure as a CT Technologist required prior to starting.

Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Two years of experience, specifically within a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Experience with Siemens or Philips equipment preferred.
