Sous Chef

Givens Aldersgate is looking for a full-time Sous Chef to support our culinary leadership team. In this role you will craft nutritious, flavorful, and high-quality meals that enhance the lives of our residents. The schedule for this role will rotate between 9am – 6pm and 10:30am to close along with rotating weekends. Free short-term disability, life insurance, & access to our employee assistance program Paid time off (PTO) w/ immediate access to 5 days of PTO before your 90 days Referral bonus program 403(b) retirement plan with up to a 6% matching Educational assistance & professional development opportunities Flexible spending account (FSA) & access to AFLAC & Prudential Life insurance products Fast-growing nonprofit with tons of advancement opportunities What You’ll Do Assist in the development and execution of seasonal health-conscious menus Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and quality of meals served Maintain a warm, welcoming dining atmosphere that reflects restaurant-style hospitality Engage with residents to understand their preferences and personalized dining experience Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with safety sanitation standards Maintain inventory and work with vendors to source high quality ingredients Maintain adherence to senior living dietary regulations and special meal accommodations Train, mentor, and support kitchen staff Collaborate with Dietitians and healthcare professions to accommodate residents’ nutritional needs What You’ll Need Culinary Degree or extensive professional kitchen experience 3-5 years of experience in a leadership culinary role Strong knowledge of wellness-focused cuisine and specialized dietary accommodations Compensation: $58,000 - $61,000 (Annually) Still curious about what Givens is all about?
