Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients referred by physicians, conducting thorough assessments to establish the nature of their conditions and individual needs.
• Develop, implement, and adjust personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices that facilitate recovery and rehabilitation.
• Engage in active, hands-on therapy with patients, utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring adherence to medical protocols and modifying treatment strategies as necessary based on patient response.
• Provide exceptional customer service, encouraging patient involvement in their care and fostering an environment of trust and compassion.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve comprehensive treatment goals, sharing knowledge and strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols, exercise regimens, and preventive strategies to maintain health post-recovery.
• Meet and exceed utilization goals and other performance metrics to contribute positively to the facility's operational objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Spindletop, you will work with a diverse patient population, offering care across various specialties. This includes:

• Orthopedic patients recovering from surgeries or traumatic injuries.
• Pediatric patients requiring developmental support and rehabilitation.
• Neurologic patients dealing with disorders such as stroke or multiple sclerosis.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
• Proficiency in word processing and healthcare-related computer systems.

Compensation and Benefits
