Work Environment\n

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while providing outpatient services to our clients. When not working remotely, therapists may occasionally engage in team meetings or client sessions in our outpatient office located in Valdosta. Our team utilizes state-of-the-art electronic medical records (EMR) systems to streamline patient care and ensure the integrity of client data management.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive client evaluations to assess mental health needs and utilize this information to develop individualized treatment plans for both children and adolescents.

• Facilitate dynamic therapy sessions employing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), play therapy, and family systems therapy to cater to the specific needs of clients.

• Implement effective behavior management techniques tailored to assist clients in achieving their treatment goals and enhancing their daily functioning.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant medical documentation to reflect client progress, treatment plans, and interventions.

• Participate in continuous professional development through workshops, conferences, and training sessions to refine skills and stay updated with the latest practices in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele, providing therapeutic support to children and adolescents facing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and familial challenges. An understanding of developmental stages and therapeutic techniques suited for younger populations is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required.

• Active state licensure in Georgia as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a mental health counseling role, demonstrating competency in therapeutic practices.

• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and their families, fostering an atmosphere of trust and positivity.

Compensation and Benefits\n
