Overview The Patient Services Representative 3 coordinates and participates in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process, patient identification, patient check in, charge posting, cash management and basic patient appointment scheduling. Conveys a positive image and provides information to ensure patients' needs are met. Qualifications Certifications: , Education: Certificate of Completion, Work Experience: Basic computer skills; General office equipment Responsibilities Coordinates and participates in a variety of duties associated with daily clinic preparation process including, but not limited to: patient identification, patient check in/out, electronic kiosk check-in (if applicable), charge posting, cash management, patient appointment scheduling, patient registration and account set-up. Answers telephone, takes and delivers messages to physicians, nurses and others. Reports medical information obtained from patients and referring physicians accurately, completely and in a timely manner. Distributes all messages according to practice communication standards. Demonstrates competency in all aspects of the Patient Service Representative 2 role. Serves as a role model by conducting self in a responsible, professional manner. Manage all incoming patient care requests related to in-basket activities, referrals, work que activity, and incoming telephone calls. Participates on committees and subcommittees including departmental work groups, cross departmental teams, etc. Serves as a system super user. Provides input and collaboration on departmental processes and policies. Competent and proficient with coverage and rules that apply to eligibility, network coverage, and benefits. Successful completion of mandatory insurance training and ongoing competency refreshers. Competent to initiate and secure prior authorizations as needed. Ability to build and maintain EPIC schedules. Manage provider or department schedules: rescheduling patients, holding provider's time off, monitoring the schedule for errors, making and submitting template changes to Cadence team. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $20.14 per hour - $32.63 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
