Make a meaningful impact in education by supporting students in elementary and middle schools as a contract paraprofessional. You’ll be working in an engaging, student-focused environment near Independence, MO, with openings available at multiple school campuses for both short-term and full school year assignments.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to directly assist students across different grade levels, including 1:1 support for individual students and classroom-wide behavioral support. Reliable transportation is a must, as flexibility to move between buildings throughout the school year may be needed.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• An active Substitute Certificate registered with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
• Previous experience in schools, particularly working with behavioral needs
• Ability to complete fingerprinting requirements prior to starting (cost covered by the candidate)
• Proven reliability and flexibility adapting to changing schedules and environments
• Professionalism and a collaborative mindset for working with students, staff, and families

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing academic and behavioral support to individual students or groups
• Assisting with classroom routines, instructional activities, and supervision
• Supporting teachers in implementing individualized education plans and accommodations
• Encouraging a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
