Business Services Manager

About the Position UCI Transportation and Distribution Services oversees transportation planning, parking, and mail services across the University of California, Irvine campus. We are seeking an experienced administrative operations professional to manage, plan, and administer the operations of Transportation and Distribution Services. The role reports to a director or higher‑level manager, involves short‑ and long‑term planning, staff and student supervision, and on‑site presence. Your Role on the Team Thorough knowledge of University rules, regulations, processes, protocols and procedures for budget, accounting, and personnel management. Familiarity with the UCI campus parking structures and lots. Knowledge of a variety of administrative operational activities such as strategic planning for special projects and community outreach, inventory management, accounting, and payroll. Solid knowledge of common University‑specific computer application programs. Strong financial analysis and reporting skills, and/or human resources policies and procedures for staff and academic employees. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Strong skills in short‑term planning, project management, analysis, problem‑solving, and customer service. Proficiency in all software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and database applications. Interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication, active listening, critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising, and counseling skills. Compensation and Benefits Expected pay range: $73,900.00 – $103,800.00 annually. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience and management of administrative operations in an office setting.
