Associate Immigration Attorney

Our firm is seeking a full-time Associate Immigration Attorney based in or near Framingham, Massachusetts. This is a hybrid position with flexible working hours, offering a combination of remote work and in-office responsibilities. The attorney must also be available to attend in-person hearings, interviews, and other proceedings as required. Candidates must have at least two years of prior experience practicing immigration law and must be licensed and in good standing to practice law in the United States. The Associate Attorney will manage and supervise a team of paralegals, review and sign filings, oversee assigned cases, and help ensure the efficient operation of the firm’s legal workflow. Responsibilities include: Representing clients before the Immigration Court, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Customs and Border Protection, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts. Preparing, reviewing, and drafting applications, petitions, motions, briefs, and other filings related to immigration benefits and removal defense. Advising and counseling clients regarding available immigration benefits, defenses, and possible avenues of relief. Conducting legal research involving federal and immigration case law, regulations, statutes, agency guidance, and administrative decisions. Reviewing immigration applications and supporting evidence and signing legal documents and filings as the attorney of record. Representing clients in family‑based immigration matters, adjustment of status applications, waivers, consular processing, naturalization matters, and other immigration cases. Providing legal advice and representation to individuals seeking humanitarian relief, including asylum, VAWA, U visas, and T visas. Representing clients in affirmative and defensive immigration matters, appeals, motions to reopen or reconsider, and federal immigration litigation. Working collaboratively with the firm’s attorneys and staff while supervising, training, and providing guidance to paralegals. Managing deadlines, reviewing case progress, assigning work, and ensuring that filings are accurate, complete, and submitted on time. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research, writing, communication, and case‑management skills. The candidate must be organized, dependable, comfortable supervising staff, and able to manage a diverse immigration caseload in a fast‑paced and collaborative environment.
