Bar Manager – Upscale Restaurant

Brooklyn, NY | $85,000–$90,000 + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager to lead the beverage program for a high-volume, upscale restaurant and event venue in Brooklyn. This is an excellent opportunity for a hospitality professional with strong beverage knowledge, leadership skills, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all day-to-day bar operations, ensuring exceptional service, quality, and consistency.
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop bartenders and bar support staff.
• Maintain high standards for cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, and overall beverage execution.
• Manage beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, cost controls, and waste.
• Monitor beverage costs, labor, sales, and other key performance metrics.
• Partner with restaurant leadership to develop seasonal cocktails and beverage offerings.
• Ensure proper opening, closing, sanitation, and operational procedures are followed.
• Lead by example during high-volume service and maintain a strong presence on the floor.
• Support private events and large-scale functions as needed.
• Build a positive, accountable, and team-focused bar culture.

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of bar management or beverage leadership experience in an upscale, high-volume restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, and beer.
• Experience with inventory management and beverage cost controls.
• Proven ability to train, develop, and motivate a bar team.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Hands-on leadership style with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $85,000–$90,000 annually , based on experience, plus a competitive benefits package.
