In this position, you’ll serve as the Regular Health Office Nurse, collaborating closely with educators and staff to ensure the health and well-being of students. Your nursing expertise will be essential, especially as you help manage care for a student diagnosed with diabetes and respond directly to students’ health needs throughout the school building. Although you’ll have a dedicated office space, many of your calls will be onsite where students are located, allowing you to build meaningful connections and provide immediate support. Additional responsibilities may include participation in IEP meetings alongside the school’s multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois
• Demonstrated experience in pediatric or school-based nursing preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfort with both independent work and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Excellent communication abilities and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to student health needs throughout the school campus
• Manage care for students with chronic conditions, such as diabetes
• Maintain thorough documentation and health records
• Collaborate on IEP planning when requested
• Support school staff with health-related training and emergency protocols
