Job Description

Responsibilities

Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility drawings.
Install and repair underground utility piping according to plans and specifications.
Install water services, water mains, sewer mains, sewer laterals, and force mains .
Operate excavation and construction equipment safely and efficiently, including excavators and other heavy equipment.
Perform excavation, trenching, bedding, pipe installation, backfilling, and site preparation.
Identify and address field conditions that may affect the installation.
Work safely around existing underground utilities and follow all applicable safety requirements.
Perform general labor and other construction duties as needed.
Maintain equipment and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in underground utility pipe installation.
Proven experience installing:
- Water services
- Water mains
- Sewer mains
- Sewer laterals
- Force mains
Ability to read and understand construction plans and utility drawings .
Experience operating excavators and other construction equipment.
Knowledge of proper trenching, excavation, pipe installation, bedding, and backfilling procedures.
Valid driver's license required.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding construction work.
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as with a crew.
