What You Will Do

As FlavCity's Shopper Marketing Manager, you will own the planning and execution of retail marketing programs across national retail partners including but not limited to, Target, Walmart, and Meijer. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You will work directly with their retail media counterparts at Target Roundel and Walmart Connect, serve as the connector between internal Marketing and Sales teams, and bring major retail programs and product launches to life, from the first proposal all the way to the shelf. You will have real ownership, direct exposure to senior leadership and retail partners, and the chance to see your work in stores nationwide.
Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day retail media partnerships and networks including Target Roundel and Walmart Connect, planning, activating, and optimizing campaigns across upper- and lower-funnel tactics (onsite, offsite, search, and display).
• Build and run shopper marketing plans for multiple product and retailer launches at once, adjusting tactics in real time
• Own point-of-purchase (POP) and in-store activation end to end, including creative development, third-party production partners, budget, and execution at shelf.
• Act as the bridge between Marketing and Sales, ensuring brand campaigns and partnerships translate into executable, retailer-specific plans.
• Develop shopper marketing programs, tactics, and launch proposals aligned to brand priorities and customer business plans.
• Present marketing plans and recommendations to retail partners, including joining sales leadership at retailer headquarters meetings.
• Plan, track, and forecast shopper marketing budgets to ensure efficient investment across customers and channels.
• Measure program performance (ROAS, sales lift, incrementality, and more), share insights, and continuously optimize.
• Manage external partners, including retail media and search agencies, creative resources, and POP vendors, to deliver integrated programs.

Who You Are

You're a knowledgeable, hands-on shopper marketer who loves doing the work, not just directing it. You bring recent experience from a high-growth CPG brand, and you know your way around Walmart Connect and Target Roundel. You fully understand the ins and outs and can speak confidently about full-funnel retail media, and you thrive when juggling several launches at once in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Qualifications:

• 3+ years of shopper marketing experience (or closely related retail, customer, or trade marketing experience) in a high-growth or emerging CPG brand environment. Having a foundation at a larger CPG company is also a plus.
• Strong understanding of retail media and full-funnel (upper- and lower-funnel) tactics, with the ability to discuss them confidently with retail partners.
• Experience with mass and conventional retailers (e.g., Target, Walmart, Meijer, etc.), and comfort navigating retailer portals and data. Hands-on experience with Walmart Connect and Target Roundel is required.
• Track record of executing in-store/POP programs and product launches, including managing budgets and outside partners.
• Strong commercial acumen, polished communication and presentation skills, and the ability to connect shopper activations to business outcomes.
• Strong analytical and shopper insights capabilities, including proficiency in syndicated and retailer data sources such as Nielsen, Circana, panel data, loyalty data, and point-of-sale analytics.
• Strong organization and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced, lean environment.
• Strong work ethic and a positive growth mindset.
• Experience with The Trade Desk or other programmatic media platforms.
• Experience partnering with retail media search agencies.
• Background in health and wellness, functional beverage, supplements, or food and beverage is a plus.
