Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, providing the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while still being part of a collaborative outpatient team. Our outpatient office is designed to support mental health professionals in offering high-quality care through modern telehealth practices and electronic health records (EHR) systems. The typical work schedule spans from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and identify tailored treatment approaches.

• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and resilience in clients.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing.

• Provide engaging individual and group therapy sessions to assist clients in processing their trauma, developing robust coping strategies, and enhancing their emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, which includes psychiatrists, social workers, and other health professionals, to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive timely and effective aid.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources to enhance support systems.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation to align with legal and ethical standards of practice, utilizing our EHR systems efficiently.

• Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and pursue continuous professional development activities specifically geared toward trauma-informed care.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in the field of trauma therapy to ensure our approach remains evidence-based and innovative.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on trauma-impacted individuals, including those experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will provide compassionate care aimed at helping clients navigate their challenges, offering them tools and strategies to build resilience and achieve mental wellness. Your expertise is pivotal in creating a positive, transformative impact in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a related clinical setting is preferred.

• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building techniques.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a kind and non-judgmental approach toward clients.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications.
\n
• Ability to work collaboratively within a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits\n
