Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health, while meticulously documenting case histories from initial consultations through successful treatment completion.

• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the specific needs of individuals, couples, families, and specialized groups.

• Facilitate effective individual and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic techniques and best practices.
\n
• Monitor and document clients' progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to plans as needed to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams that may include doctors, nurses, and social workers to ensure comprehensive client care.

• Coordinate follow-up care with psychiatrists and other health professionals for clients requiring hospitalization.
\n
• Proactively identify and address any behaviors that may hinder clients' recovery journeys.

• Offer support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers to help them navigate mental health challenges associated with their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve diverse adult clients facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will engage in understanding each patient's unique circumstances and developing thoughtful, impactful treatment plans that facilitate their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree is strongly preferred.

• Current licensure, such as LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW, valid within the state of New York.

• Successful completion and passing of the NCE or NCMHCE examinations.
\n
• Demonstrated experience working as a mental health counselor or in a related role, with a strong background in handling diverse mental health issues.

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to manage client documentation and treatment plans efficiently.

• Hands-on experience with addiction disorders and comorbid physical and emotional health conditions.

• Deep familiarity with the ethical standards set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and an understanding of current best practices.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for effective therapeutic rapport and documentation.

• A compassionate disposition with excellent interpersonal skills, allowing for empathic engagement with clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
