Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for clients to identify their mental health needs, and develop personalized treatment plans that are tailored to individual goals and circumstances.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other therapeutic modalities.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff—to ensure a holistic approach to client care.

• Thoroughly document treatment progress and interventions to ensure accurate client records, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Engage in regular supervision and training sessions to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work with a diverse population that includes children, adolescents, and adults facing a variety of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your role will be crucial in helping clients understand their challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their therapeutic goals in a compassionate and non-judgmental environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Current licensure in New York State as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW , or a comparable credential.

• Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations and effectively addressing a range of mental health concerns.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create rapport and trust with clients.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently while also functioning effectively as a member of a team.

Dawn Psychological Solutions is proud to offer a competitive yearly salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 , commensurate with your experience and caseload.
