This role is primarily remote, utilizing telehealth platforms to connect with clients. Our team embraces technology to facilitate seamless interactions with patients, ensuring they receive the care they need in a comfortable environment. While working from home, you will collaborate with colleagues through virtual meetings, engaging in team discussions regarding patient care and best practices. This telehealth setting requires the ability to adapt quickly to remote counseling methods while maintaining empathetic and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health status through virtual sessions to establish baseline data.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, providing clients with skills and coping strategies to manage their mental health challenges and achieve personal goals.

• Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress, adjusting treatment goals as necessary based on their evolving needs.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, as needed to ensure comprehensive care.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), documenting client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Provide referrals to additional services when necessary, supporting clients in addressing broader health concerns.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with a diverse range of clients, including those struggling with substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and general life transitions. You will play a critical role in supporting individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring they receive culturally responsive care tailored to their specific needs. Your ability to engage effectively with clients through a remote medium will enhance their therapeutic experience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A minimum of four years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, with a strong emphasis on direct client care.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatments, and best practices for therapy.

• Skills in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions through telehealth methods, employing culturally sensitive approaches.

• Demonstrated strong crisis intervention skills and the capacity to manage urgent situations with composure.

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, fostering rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a high level of comfort with technology.

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, ethical standards, and professional boundaries in all client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n
