Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial evaluations of patients, utilizing comprehensive assessment tools to determine their mental and emotional needs.

• Design and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing specific issues related to trauma and emotional distress.

• Facilitate one-on-one sessions with clients to actively listen to their concerns and collaboratively set achievable goals.

• Monitor client progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Provide psychoeducation workshops for patients and staff about effective coping mechanisms for stress and trauma management.

• Collaborate with social services and healthcare providers to coordinate additional support systems for patients in need of outside resources, such as housing or legal assistance.

• Engage in continuous professional development, including attending workshops and completing required education courses to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from trauma-related injuries. This includes a diverse demographic, ranging from those with historical trauma exposure to individuals facing the aftermath of recent events. The role requires sensitivity and a thorough understanding of trauma-informed care principles, ensuring that your approach remains empathetic, respectful, and empowering for clients during their healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.

• Current and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) certification.

Compensation and Benefits\n
