Job Summary: The Executive Director of Technology Partnerships directs the activities of the Technology Partnerships organization within the Office of Information Technology (OIT). Oversees and manages application, system, and technical support for critical University systems that are essential to the operations of colleges, divisions, and administrative units but are not deployed on an enterprise-wide basis. Provides leadership for the University's distributed IT consolidation strategy, including planning, phased execution, and post integration stabilization. Works closely with OIT leadership, functional executives, and external vendors to ensure supported systems meet operational, compliance, security, and sustainability requirements. Liaises with non-OIT executives to ensure alignment with college and division strategic goals. Works with OIT leadership to develop and implement long-term technology and service strategies related to non-enterprise, mission-critical platforms. Additional Department Summary: Leads a multi-team organization responsible for a defined portfolio of applications and systems that support specific colleges, divisions, or institutional functions. Oversees the design, analysis, acquisition, implementation, support, and lifecycle management of supported systems. Establishes consistent operational practices. Leads and develops technical teams. Ensures that supported units receive reliable, secure, and responsive technology services while advancing OIT's strategic goals. Provides a critical leadership function in the consolidation of distributed IT units into OIT by integrating staff, standardizing processes, strengthening governance, and maintaining strong service relationships with campus partners. Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree and eight (8) years of IT experience; OR bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of IT experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience leading application or system teams supporting complex, mission-critical platforms in higher education, healthcare, advancement, or research environments. Experience integrating distributed IT teams into a centralized IT organization. Experience with portfolio management, service delivery models, and operational governance.
