Overview
Registered Nurse – ICU Travel position in Sonora, California, United States. Start date: 08/31/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,903 – $2,024 per week. Shift: Nights (3x12-hour). Work setting: inpatient acute care environment. This assignment involves delivering focused nursing care to a patient population within the ICU, coordinating care within the care team, and supporting a high-acuity, fast-paced unit.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or designated group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Assess patient status, develop and implement care plans, and document outcomes accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, monitor for adverse effects, and adjust as needed within scope of practice.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; promote safe staffing and delegation aligned with patient needs.
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, communicate changes in patient status, and participate in rounds and care conferences.
- Maintain clinical accuracy, uphold patient safety, and employ critical thinking, professional judgment, and independence in decision-making.

Requirements
- Active RN license required (CA or eligible for CA licensure)
- ICU/critical care experience or demonstrated strong critical care skills
- BLS certification required; ACLS may be required per unit policy
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced inpatient setting
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and supervise lesser-trained staff when needed
