Work Environment\n

This position will allow for a flexible and supportive work-from-home setting, with opportunities to engage directly with clients virtually and during therapeutic home visits. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-home therapy sessions and group therapy within our outpatient center, tailoring interventions to meet the unique needs of each child and family.

• Design and implement therapeutic strategies focused on improving youth coping mechanisms, social skills, and decision-making abilities, particularly during high-risk behavioral situations.

• Work actively to reduce challenging behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression, through evidence-based methods and family empowerment.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals—including psychologists, social workers, and educational staff—to develop comprehensive treatment plans that align with family goals.

• Maintain accurate records and submit required documentation, such as intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, within specified timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to drive team effectiveness and service quality.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses primarily on working with children and adolescents facing developmental and intellectual disabilities. Candidates will engage with a diverse client base, facilitating services that acknowledge the unique strengths and challenges of each child and their family. The goal is to build rapport and trust, becoming a reliable support system while promoting healthy family dynamics.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.

• Possession of an active, unrestricted LMFT license in Washington State.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly, predominantly during after-school hours (4 PM to 7 PM), with flexibility on weekends being advantageous.

• Strong understanding and experience with positive behavioral support strategies.
\n
• Proven history of working effectively with children aged 3 to 20, especially those with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for client visits.
\n
• A clear criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is a prerequisite for employment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Fluency in Spanish or Portuguese is highly desirable, as it enables better communication with a broader client demographic.

• Experience utilizing assessments and evidence-based practices specific to therapy with children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
