Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial interviews and comprehensive assessments to accurately understand each client’s needs and history.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to provide one-on-one counseling sessions focused on mental health and substance use recovery.

• Continuously evaluate client progress by synthesizing bio-psychosocial information collected through standard assessments and client interactions.

• Foster strong communication with clients, families, and other professionals involved in the client's care while adhering to confidentiality protocols.

• Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Nurturing Mental Health Center, you will work primarily with individuals struggling with mental health issues, including those in recovery from substance use disorders. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, presenting various challenges that necessitate a culturally competent and inclusive approach to care. It is crucial for our counselors to engage empathetically with clients, understanding their unique stories and facilitating their journey toward health and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's Degree in Social Services, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is mandatory.

• Current Washington State licensure as an LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of experience providing mental health therapy, particularly with individuals facing substance use challenges.

• Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice in maintaining client privacy.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with a diverse client base.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $105,000 annually, corresponding with experience and qualifications.
