Play a vital role in supporting students as a Sign Language Interpreter for the upcoming school year! This full-time contract position features up to five openings and positions you within a collaborative team of Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) professionals and classroom support staff. Your expertise will foster better communication and access for students, making a meaningful difference in their education.

Assignments will be determined based on available caseloads and candidate preferences, ensuring the opportunity suits your strengths and interests. Anticipated start is August 24, 2026, with the role continuing until July 15, 2027. Preference is given to interpreters willing to share their ideal caseload and home area, allowing for the best possible placement within the district.

Key Qualifications:

• Current licensure or certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (please include proof with your application)
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language
• Experience working in educational settings, particularly with DHH students, is preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
• Strong organizational and communication skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Interpret spoken and signed communication for students and staff in classroom and school environments
• Support individualized education plans (IEPs) and foster inclusive participation
• Collaborate closely with DHH specialists and other educational support staff
