Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity dedicated to supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students as a skilled Sign Language Interpreter. Located in a collaborative educational environment near Creswell, OR, you’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of professionals committed to fostering student accessibility and success. With up to five openings available, there’s flexibility to match your caseload preferences and experiences to the ideal educational setting.

In this dynamic role, you’ll:

• Interpret spoken and signed communication between students, staff, and classroom support teams, ensuring full access for DHH students.
• Collaborate daily with DHH specialists and classroom support staff to implement individualized student strategies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of interpreting services and participate in team meetings as needed.
• Adapt communication techniques to meet the unique needs of each student and classroom setting.
• Support academic, extracurricular, and social activities, enhancing the learning experience for all involved.

The ideal candidate brings:

• Valid state or national licensure/certification as a Sign Language Interpreter.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with educational interpreting best practices.
• Experience supporting DHH students in K-12 educational environments is highly desired.
• A strong sense of teamwork and communication skills.
• The ability to collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families.
