Placement and caseload details will be determined to suit both your expertise and school needs. Your role will involve partnering with a dedicated group that includes Deaf and Hard of Hearing educators and diverse support professionals, ensuring an engaging and supportive environment for all.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or licensure as a Sign Language Interpreter
• Previous experience in a school or educational setting preferred
• Ability to effectively interpret classroom instruction and student communication
• Skilled in collaborating with staff, students, and families from various backgrounds
• Flexibility to adapt to varying classroom situations and age groups
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services during classroom instruction, discussions, and activities
• Collaborate closely with Deaf and Hard of Hearing educators and classroom support teams
• Facilitate clear and accurate communication between students, staff, and other school community members
• Adapt strategies for individualized student needs, ensuring full participation
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
