Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Houston, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and/or foot patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. This driving and armed post calls for clear communication, professionalism, and quick response to changing situations. Position Type Full Time Pay Rate $22.00 / Hour Pre-Employment Requirements (Contractual) 21+ Years of Age (C101) Active Armed Guard Card/License (Texas only) (C122) Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123) 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience (C158) Job Schedule DayTime: Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM | Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM | Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM | Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM | Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You’ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders when needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help deter theft, trespassing, and/or disruptive behavior while maintaining a professional presence. Support retail operations by observing customer and employee activity, reporting security-related concerns, and following post orders related to access control, closing procedures, and after-hours checks. Minimum Requirements Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or 5 or more years of armed security-related experience. Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
