Based onsite in a vibrant school community near Scarborough and Portland, ME, this full-time position plays a vital role in delivering high-quality speech and language services, especially for those utilizing or requiring augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of Maine
• Valid Maine Educator Certification
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
• Previous work experience in school-based settings, preferably across kindergarten to grade 12
• Familiarity and proficiency with AAC devices and strategies
• Strong collaboration abilities and a compassionate approach to student support

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and create individualized therapy plans for students with a range of speech, language, and communication needs
• Provide direct therapy and support specifically to students involved with AAC systems
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress
• Develop and maintain timely and accurate documentation, including IEP-related records
• Participate in team meetings and contribute your expertise to fostering an inclusive learning environment
