Human Resources Director

HR Director, US | Life Sciences / Pharma Services | Based in Durham, NC (relocation supported) We're working exclusively with a fast growing, mid sized compliance, technical and engineering services provider to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. We've been retained to find their next HR Director as they scale from a strong regional base into a genuine national platform across the United States, with a brand new hub now landing in North Carolina's Life Science Triangle. This isn't a backfill. It's a newly created, genuinely strategic seat, and it carries national scope from day one. You'll be the first HR leadership hire in what becomes this company's management team across every state it operates in, not just North Carolina. The timing matters. The life sciences sector is in the middle of an unprecedented wave of capital investment, with more than 350 billion dollars in newly announced projects landing across key growth corridors including North Carolina, Virginia, Texas, California and Massachusetts. This business is positioning itself to win a meaningful share of that work, which means building serious local leadership presence in every market it serves, not just the ones closest to its historic base. That's where you come in. What makes this role different is that it's not a typical HR seat. You'd own talent acquisition strategy and workforce planning across a multi site, multi state operation spanning the whole of the US, but you'd also be out in the world representing the company at career fairs, industry events and client sites from coast to coast. What you'll be doing: Building out talent pipelines nationally, including early career and campus recruiting, to support a company actively expanding its footprint beyond its traditional base Advising operations and business development leaders on workforce planning as new sites and client accounts come online across multiple states Showing up in front of clients and candidates as one of the faces of the business, helping establish credible local leadership presence in markets where the company is still building its name Supporting new project launches with onboarding and training as teams come online across the country What we're looking for: Strong full cycle talent acquisition experience, ideally across multi site, multi state or regulated environments Someone who genuinely enjoys being visible and client facing, not just tolerates it An entrepreneurial, business first way of thinking rather than a purely process driven one, comfortable operating as part of a leadership team building something new Backgrounds from life sciences, industrial or regulated services, or consulting and professional services would all be of strong interest The details: Based in Durham, North Carolina, with full relocation support available, including temporary housing, travel costs and medical cover from day one Regular travel across the United States to company locations and client sites, up to 50 percent Competitive base salary plus performance bonus A two stage interview process that moves quickly once it starts #J-18808-Ljbffr Stanley Cowton International
