Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of trauma-related issues and formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient.

• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions focused on listening and providing empathetic support to patients as they navigate emotional and psychological challenges.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies while regularly monitoring patient progress and making adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs.

• Provide education to patients and staff on effective coping mechanisms for managing stress and trauma, thereby fostering a supportive community atmosphere.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social agencies, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure that patients receive complete support.

• Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, treatment progress, and outcomes while utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and Salesforce systems.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education courses to stay current with emerging practices and maintain National Certified Counselor certification.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Compass Counseling Services, you will primarily work with individuals recovering from trauma. This population may include those affected by physical injuries, emotional distress following accidents, and other traumas that have profoundly impacted their mental well-being. Your role will be crucial in building trust and enabling patients to articulate their experiences as they seek recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field is required.

• You must hold a current, valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
