Customer Experience Associate

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and bilingual Customer Experience Associate to join a convenience store customer service team in Carolina, PR. This contract/temporary opportunity is ideal for a service-focused professional who enjoys helping customers, supporting daily store operations, and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

The Customer Experience Associate will play an important role in creating a positive visitor and customer experience by providing friendly service, processing transactions accurately, maintaining a clean and stocked store, and communicating effectively with supervisors. This role offers the opportunity to build customer service, cash handling, and retail operations experience while working with a supportive team that values responsibility, communication, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service and assist visitors or customers with questions, purchases, and general support.
- Operate the cash register, process merchandise payments, handle credit card transactions, and complete cash balancing at the end of each shift.
- Maintain the store in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition throughout the workday.
- Check product expiration dates regularly and support proper product rotation and presentation.
- Report issues, irregularities, or operational concerns according to company protocols.
- Maintain consistent communication with supervisors to support efficient daily operations and teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $11.25 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Provide customer service and support in a convenience store or similar retail environment.
- Process payments, operate cash register equipment, and complete accurate cash handling duties.
- Maintain store cleanliness, organization, product stocking, and expiration date checks.
- Communicate with supervisors and team members to support smooth daily operations.
- Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license required.
- 1 year of experience in customer service, retail, convenience store, cashier, or similar roles.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience with cash handling, credit card transactions, and basic computer use.
- Basic knowledge of cash register equipment and point-of-sale procedures.
- Strong communication, customer service, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, responsible, detail-oriented, and able to follow company protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior convenience store, retail store, cashier, or visitor support experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and accuracy during high-volume customer interactions.
