Director of Finance

The Director of Finance is a senior leader within the Administration & Finance function, responsible for overseeing organization-wide financial operations, departmental finance leadership, and financial reporting. This role ensures consistent, accurate, and compliant financial practices while partnering closely with executive leadership to support strategic and operational goals. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise department finance leaders, providing guidance, oversight, and performance management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes, including month-end and year-end.end close.
• Ensure consistent application of financial policies, internal controls, and best practices across the organization.
• Prepare and present financial information for executive leadership, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Partner with treasury and procurement leadership to align financial operations and controls.
• Develop operational and analytical reporting to support decision-making, transparency, and performance measurement.
• Contribute to strategic planning and drive finance-related initiatives that improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field required.
• Master's degree or equivalent public or private sector experience preferred.
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred.
• Prior experience in a complex or regulated organizational environment preferred.
• Proven experience leading finance or accounting professionals.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Demonstrated people leadership and performance management experience.
• Advanced analytical skills, including financial analysis, forecasting, and cost analysis.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet tools and financial systems.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
