About the Role: The Senior Director of Food Service is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing and advancing all aspects of food service operations across multiple locations within the United States. This role focuses on driving innovation, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and enhancing customer satisfaction through exceptional food quality and service delivery. The Senior Director will lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement scalable food service strategies that align with organizational goals and market trends. They will also manage budgets, vendor relationships, and operational efficiencies to maximize profitability and sustainability. Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in shaping the culinary vision and operational excellence of the food service division, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or a related field. At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in food service or hospitality operations, including managing multi-site operations. Experience within food manufacturing, CPG, spices and seasonings, ingredients, sauces/condiments, or a related food category strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience working with Foodservice distributors, brokers, restaurant chains, national accounts, regional accounts, and operators. Proven track record of developing new business and delivering sustainable, profitable sales growth. Strong understanding of the Foodservice industry, including distribution models, broker networks, customer economics, and operator needs. Experience developing and executing go-to-market, channel, and account strategies. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams. Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with P&L management, pricing, forecasting, budgeting, margins, and contract negotiations. Experience collaborating with Marketing and R&D/Innovation on new products or customer-specific solutions preferred. Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate business opportunities into actionable commercial plans. Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills. Ability to work effectively across functions and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organization. Ability to travel as required to support customers, distributors, brokers, industry events, and business development activities. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline. Experience working within large-scale institutional food service environments such as healthcare, education, or corporate dining. Certification in food safety management (e.g., ServSafe Manager Certification) or culinary arts. Familiarity with sustainability practices and initiatives in food sourcing and waste reduction. Proficiency with food service management software and data analytics tools. Responsibilities: Develop and execute Badia Spices’ overall Foodservice sales and growth strategy, aligned with company objectives. Drive profitable revenue growth through new customer acquisition, account expansion, increased distribution, product placement, and market penetration. Develop and manage relationships with national and regional restaurant chains, Foodservice distributors, broadliners, redistributors, brokers, operators, and other strategic customers. Identify new channels, customers, product opportunities, and strategic partnerships that expand Badia’s presence in the Foodservice market. Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key customers and channel partners. Lead strategic customer negotiations, pricing discussions, contracts, and business development initiatives. Develop strategies for national accounts, regional chains, distribution, and other Foodservice segments. Manage and optimize relationships with Foodservice brokers and sales partners to ensure appropriate market coverage, execution, and accountability. Partner with R&D/Innovation, Marketing, and customers to identify opportunities for new products, culinary solutions, packaging formats, and Foodservice-specific offerings. Work cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and other departments to ensure customer needs and growth initiatives can be successfully executed. Establish annual sales plans, forecasts, budgets, customer targets, and KPIs. Monitor sales performance, profitability, pricing, margins, customer P&L, and other key financial metrics. Analyze Foodservice industry trends, customer needs, competitive activity, and market opportunities to guide commercial strategy. Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to the Foodservice sales organization and/or broker network, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture. Develop and mentor team members through regular coaching, performance feedback, goal setting, and individualized development plans. Build organizational capability by identifying high-potential talent, supporting succession planning, and creating opportunities for professional growth and increased responsibility. Establish clear performance expectations and provide ongoing development to strengthen commercial capabilities, strategic account management, and leadership skills across the team.
