Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of students' counseling needs, utilizing the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual) criteria for substance abuse diagnosis.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) guidelines, addressing both mental health and substance use issues.
\n
• Prepare and document the substance abuse counseling components for client treatment plans, ensuring alignment with established therapeutic standards.
\n
• Create comprehensive discharge and continuum of care plans to facilitate smooth transitions for clients to appropriate levels of support.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records detailing all counseling services, assessments, referrals, and follow-ups.
\n
• Manage a caseload of clients, providing ongoing case management, treatment planning, and clinical documentation as required.
\n
• Coordinate support services for clients and their families, ensuring all interactions and interventions are recorded in the clinical record.
\n
• Engage with external referral sources, such as legal representatives, school officials, and employers, to facilitate comprehensive client support.
\n
• Utilize a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to address crisis-oriented issues as they arise for assigned clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve students and families dealing with a variety of mental health and substance use challenges. You will play a critical role in providing therapeutic interventions that not only support individual recovery but also enhance family dynamics and school performance.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current and valid LCSW license in the state of Illinois.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in substance use counseling and understanding of co-occurring disorders.
\n
• Strong ability to establish therapeutic boundaries and demonstrate cultural competency within a diverse client population.
\n
• Proficient organizational skills and self-motivation to independently manage a caseload effectively.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a school-based environment or with adolescent populations.
\n
• Familiarity with the ASAM criteria for substance use disorder treatment.
\n
• Previous involvement in crisis intervention and multi-disciplinary team approaches in therapeutic settings.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package including:
