Our client is a growing B2B organization with an established demand generation team supporting regional and industry-specific marketing initiatives. As the team continues to scale its nurture programs and campaign infrastructure, they are seeking an execution-focused email marketing professional to support campaign deployment, marketing automation, reporting, and sales enablement.

The organization has experienced marketing managers responsible for strategy and creative direction, allowing this role to focus primarily on translating established plans and assets into accurately executed, measurable campaigns.

Role Overview

The Email Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing B2B email nurture programs and supporting the marketing automation infrastructure required to scale demand generation initiatives.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role that will manage email production, audience preparation, campaign deployment, quality assurance, approval workflows, and performance reporting. The Email Marketing Specialist will work primarily within Marketo and Knak, collaborating closely with marketing managers and the marketing operations team to ensure campaigns are configured correctly and launched on schedule.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple concurrent nurture streams within structured approval processes. As the role develops, there will be opportunities to expand into broader demand generation initiatives, including events, webinars, and BDR enablement.

Key Responsibilities

Email Nurture Execution & Management

• Execute email nurture programs based on established marketing strategies and creative assets.
• Move email drafts through structured review and approval cycles.
• Assemble, validate, and quality-check target audience lists before deployment.
• Build and configure emails using Knak or similar email creation platforms.
• Deploy campaigns through Marketo in collaboration with the marketing operations team.
• Manage multiple concurrent nurture streams while ensuring campaigns remain organized and on schedule.
• Maintain accurate campaign configurations and documentation throughout the execution process.

Campaign Deployment & Quality Assurance

• Own the execution of assigned email campaigns from final preparation through deployment.
• Conduct test sends and thoroughly review campaign elements before launch.
• Route campaigns to the appropriate stakeholders for final approval and sign-off.
• Verify audience selection, content, links, formatting, and campaign configurations before deployment.
• Follow established approval workflows while proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
• Ensure campaigns are launched accurately and according to established timelines.

BDR & Sales Enablement

• Configure playbooks, cadences, and supporting system data within sales engagement platforms.
• Support BDR outreach by ensuring established sales plays are accurately configured and operational.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to maintain alignment between marketing campaigns and BDR activities.
• Help maintain organized and reliable processes supporting demand generation and sales outreach.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Build and maintain Marketo reporting infrastructure to provide consistent visibility into campaign performance.
• Develop recurring weekly reporting for email and nurture initiatives.
• Monitor campaign performance and identify actionable insights for the broader marketing team.
• Maintain accurate and consistent performance-tracking processes.
• Support the development of scalable reporting and dashboard infrastructure as the marketing function grows.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with marketing managers responsible for campaign strategy and creative direction.
• Partner with the marketing operations team to ensure campaigns are configured and deployed correctly.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent programs, review cycles, approvals, and deadlines.
• Maintain clear visibility into campaign status and outstanding requirements.
• Support structured workflows that allow the broader demand generation team to operate efficiently.

Demand Generation Support

• Support additional demand generation initiatives as responsibilities expand.
• Assist with events, webinars, and BDR-driven marketing programs as needed.
• Help develop scalable processes and infrastructure that support broader campaign execution.
• Identify opportunities to improve campaign workflows, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Use AI tools to support day-to-day execution and productivity as internal AI capabilities continue to develop.

Qualifications

Experience

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, marketing operations, campaign execution, or a related role.
• B2B marketing experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience executing email campaigns and nurture programs within a marketing automation platform.
• Hands-on experience with Marketo is strongly preferred.
• Experience building and deploying emails using Knak or a comparable email creation platform.
• Experience managing multiple campaigns, nurture streams, review cycles, and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience independently executing campaigns based on established strategies and creative assets.
• Experience working within structured campaign approval and quality assurance processes.
• Experience building or improving marketing reporting, dashboards, or performance-tracking infrastructure is a plus.
• Experience supporting events, webinars, or broader demand generation programs is a plus.

Skills

• Strong hands-on proficiency with Marketo or comparable marketing automation platforms for email campaign deployment, nurture programs, and reporting.
• Experience using Knak or similar email creation tools to build and prepare campaigns for deployment.
• Strong understanding of email campaign execution, audience preparation, testing, quality assurance, approvals, and deployment workflows.
• Familiarity with sales engagement platforms such as Amplemarket, Outreach, or Salesloft for configuring BDR playbooks and cadences.
• Ability to build and maintain organized campaign reporting and performance-tracking infrastructure.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing audience lists, campaign configurations, email content, links, and deployment settings.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent nurture streams and campaign deadlines.
• Familiarity with marketing operations best practices and cross-functional campaign workflows.
• Comfortable using AI tools such as Claude to support day-to-day marketing workflows and productivity.
• Ability to independently execute against established strategies while collaborating effectively with marketing managers and marketing operations teams.
