Work Environment\n

This position allows for a fully remote work setting, utilizing telehealth technology to connect with clients. As a Mental Health Counselor at Medchoice, you will have flexibility in your work hours while maintaining a structured Monday to Friday schedule (9 AM to 5 PM). Our online platform enables effective communication and documentation, providing you with the tools you need to deliver exceptional care remotely.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the mental health status of clients.

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Conduct regular therapy sessions via telehealth, providing guidance and support to help clients navigate their mental health challenges.

• Offer crisis intervention and develop strategies for clients in distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers when necessary, facilitating referrals to psychiatrists or other specialists to enhance the treatment process.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Your work will involve interacting with a diverse clientele, each presenting varying challenges and backgrounds. Qualifications\n

To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A valid and current license as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.
\n
• At least two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health setting.
\n
• A solid understanding of various mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and a commitment to cultural competence in therapy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
