Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and impact of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that align with their goals, preferences, and unique circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques based on client feedback and progress.

• Provide essential education and resources to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to support their mental health journeys.

• Continuously monitor client progress through sessions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to enhance outcomes.

• Engage in interprofessional collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care for clients receiving medication management alongside therapy.

• Stay informed on the latest research advancements and clinical guidelines in mood disorders to continuously refine treatment approaches and improve client care.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records of client interactions and treatment plans to comply with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to share insights, strategies, and best practices for managing mood disorders.

• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs, helping to reduce stigma associated with mood disorders and enhancing community awareness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our diverse clientele ranges from young adults to older individuals, each facing unique challenges stemming from these conditions. Your ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet varying needs will be crucial in promoting recovery and improving mental health outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Eligibility for licensure in New York State as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker with R privilege (LCSW-R), or as a Licensed Psychoanalyst or Psychologist.

• Two or more years of post-licensure experience in the specialization of mood disorders is preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, particularly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits\n
