Business Systems Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Business Systems Manager based in the United States.

This role will own the business systems roadmap and help build the infrastructure needed to deliver reliable, scalable solutions at speed. You will translate complex and sometimes ambiguous business needs into structured requirements, prioritized backlogs, and clear specifications. Working closely with software engineers, platform administrators, and business stakeholders, you will help modernize quoting, dynamic pricing, and subscription management capabilities. You will also contribute to DevOps practices, data quality, testing, and release processes across core business systems. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on operational delivery in a lean, highly collaborative environment. It offers significant influence over technical architecture, development practices, and the long-term evolution of business systems.

Accountabilities:

• Own the business systems intake process, gathering and triaging requests from Sales Operations, Finance, Channel, Product, Marketing, and other stakeholders into a structured and prioritized backlog.
• Lead agile delivery activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, user story creation, acceptance criteria, and user acceptance testing.
• Partner with software engineering to establish and improve development infrastructure and DevOps practices, including environments, deployment pipelines, testing, and rollback procedures.
• Own data quality across core business systems by auditing and cleaning data and implementing ongoing controls to prevent issues from affecting automation, reporting, and customer-facing processes.
• Build and maintain context and knowledge libraries that provide engineering teams with accurate, current information needed for effective development.
• Collaborate closely with Salesforce and NetSuite/Celigo administrators to route requests, diagnose root causes, validate requirements, and determine the most appropriate platform-based solutions.
• Translate business needs into precise technical specifications that enable efficient development while validating architecture and data-flow decisions.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term technology objectives, determining when temporary manual solutions are appropriate and when a more scalable solution is required.
• Contribute to the modernization of quoting, dynamic pricing, subscription management, and related business system capabilities.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, product management, revenue operations, or a related technical discipline, with strong hands-on experience with Salesforce and NetSuite.
• Experience establishing or maturing DevOps practices within a small or resource-constrained team, including environments, CI/CD, testing, and release management.
• Strong data quality management skills, including auditing, cleansing, validation, and implementing controls to maintain reliable business data.
• Deep platform knowledge and the ability to distinguish between straightforward configuration changes and solutions requiring broader technical re-architecture.
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous business challenges into structured, prioritized backlogs, detailed user stories, and clear, testable acceptance criteria.
• Experience leading agile delivery from requirements through UAT and production implementation.
• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools to deliver production solutions.
• Working knowledge of subscription and entitlement concepts such as proration, true-forward reconciliation, and co-terming, with the ability to translate these concepts into clear technical requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, software developers, business leaders, and other cross-functional partners.
• Comfortable navigating challenging conversations, resolving ambiguity, and building trust across a lean, collaborative organization.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in a technical product environment.
