Good Movement Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team at our rehabilitation center located in beautiful Fort Myers Beach, Florida. This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, along with a robust benefits package. The ideal candidate will possess a Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) and have at least two years of clinical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients with functional limitations and disabilities, utilizing comprehensive assessment techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with patients' recovery goals and best practices in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals regarding patients' care trajectories to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Deliver thorough patient education to clients and their families about treatment plans, therapeutic exercises, and self-care strategies.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate progress, re-evaluate treatment plans, and make necessary adjustments based on patients' responses.
• Maintain detailed documentation that adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, including occupational therapists, physicians, and referral sources, to enhance the overall patient experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role is to provide orthopedic care for a diverse patient population, including pre- and post-operative patients, individuals recovering from sports injuries, and clients dealing with chronic musculoskeletal conditions. The therapist will work to empower patients in their rehabilitation journey, promoting independence and improved quality of life through tailored intervention strategies.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the Florida Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in orthopedic settings preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Preferred Experience

Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software is a plus. Familiarity with advanced orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and modalities will enhance candidate suitability. A background in providing mentorship or supervision to less experienced clinicians is also valued, as we encourage leadership growth within our team.
