Work Environment\n

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to create a comfortable and flexible workspace while connecting with your patients through telehealth platforms. You will work standard hours from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as necessary to accommodate patient availability. You will have the tools and resources to efficiently manage your caseload and provide quality care from your own location.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges of older adults, using standardized tools and observational insights.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, carefully considering cognitive changes, medical issues, and social supports.

• Provide evidence-based interventions including individual and family therapy, utilizing proven techniques that specifically benefit geriatric patients.

• Collaborate with geriatric psychiatrists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and comprehensive care for each patient.

• Offer crisis intervention for older adults in acute mental health situations, ensuring immediate and effective support.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to foster understanding and engagement.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently.

• Actively participate in team meetings and case consultations to maximize collaborative treatment strategies.

• Stay current with research and advancements in geriatric mental health care to continually enhance your effectiveness and therapeutic methods.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily serve elder patients within the geriatric demographic, focusing on those grappling with mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, cognitive impairments, and adjustment disorders. Your expertise in geriatric mental health will enable you to create meaningful connections, provide support, and advocate for resources that benefit this vulnerable population.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Arizona.
\n
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, preferably with a focus on geriatric care.

• Strong understanding of the complexities of geriatric mental health disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Demonstrated experience in providing therapy to older adults and their families.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on empathetic, patient-centered communication.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems to maintain accurate documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
