Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to understand the unique emotional and psychological needs of clients, particularly older adults.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on older adult clients facing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and other geriatric psychiatric conditions. This population requires a nuanced understanding of mental health issues as they relate to aging, making your role vital in helping clients navigate these complex emotional landscapes while fostering resilience and well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and active licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting, with a focus on older adult therapy being a strong plus.

• Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practices specifically designed for geriatric mental health.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a patient-centered and empathetic approach.
